Share Your Story: Day 11 - Lauren Tracy

How long have you attended Faith Christian Church?

Two years

In a few sentences share how you became a Christian.

My mom was a Sunday school teacher and I attended church every Sunday. Nothing clicked for me until 6th grade at a youth conference and that's when I felt God's presence over my life. I attended youth conferences for the next few years all over and would be crazy on fire for God and then just leave the conference. I would go home feeling lost and insecure. In 2013 Mrs. Miller invited me to Crave and I attended the conference for two years and then decided to come more often to church!

In what ways has Faith Christian Church brought value to your life?

My first service at FCC, Pastor Aaron talked about how some of us binge on God like we do on Netflix. And I realized that's what I was doing for years at those youth conferences. I knew that day that I wanted to go all in for God! Faith Christian Church has brought me so many great memories and friends. I am a high school student, so being a Christian high school student is very difficult. I get picked on and called "The Jesus freak". Those words no longer phase me because I know my God is worthy of praise no matter what they call me. Leaving both of my parents church was extremely hard, but my family has been so supportive of my choice to join my own church.

Desperation also had a huge affect on my life. This past year I was healed of vertigo and my worship experience has been easier and more enjoyable ever since.

I value the passion we have for our community, state, and country.

What do you enjoy most about coming to church?

I love every bit of our church! But if it had to pick one thing it would be how we teach the children of the church. Everyone is so supportive of every age and they care about their faith and future. We are raising an amazing generation of strong Christians.

What are you most excited for as we look ahead to what God is doing in our communities?

I'm so excited to see new faces and the people God will be leading here. I can't wait to hear more life changing stories.

What is your favorite Bible verse and why?

My favorite bible verse is John 14:27
"I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid."

This past year I've had some huge changes and this verse has encouraged me beyond compare.
